Brittany Abromeit, PhD.
“After spending five years hands deep in gamma spectroscopy down in the sunny state of Florida at FSU I have decided to take my nuclear knowledge and move out west with it. Just as I was finishing up my dissertation work, the CENTAUR program came along and introduced me to the NNSA national laboratories, opening my eyes to the hidden world of mission-based science. After applying and visiting a number of wonderful national labs, I visited Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) where I immediately fell in love with the lab and surrounding area. With incredible science, including a topic directly related to my dissertation work, and a trifecta of cities/mountains/water, I decided to accept a postdoctoral position at PNNL in the Detection Systems group in the National Security Directorate starting at the beginning of the new year.”
